Blue Ridge Parkway

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.)

Last week Betsy and I went to Asheville, North Carolina for a couple of days. While there, we took a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The trees were mostly bare, but the mountains were as beautiful as ever. This was the view from Tanbark Ridge, northeast of Asheville.

Really nice George.
We took a drive as well but the closest we got to the mountains was
seeing our vancouver surrounded as if we were cacooned safe and sound inside. lol

That is gorgeous with the burgundy in the front, then the blue, green, and brown on the mountains. You took an excellent shot. I agree the mountains are gorgeous all the time - - even when you get on top of one and it starts snowing and you have to come downhill in it without the road being cleared . . . . a bit scary but still beautiful!!!! That happened to us in Maggie Valley.
