The American Falls at Niagara

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.  Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

I was going through some of my archived photos when I came across this picture of the American Falls at Niagara.  It was taken in August, 2002, when Betsy and I visited the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.  That was before I had my good camera, but I'm rather happy with the way this picture turned out.

Even without your good camera, this picture has come out really well George. Love the way the waterfall cascades down to a pool of turquoise :)

Niagara Falls is an amazing place! We visited there in 2002 as well but in February!! On the day we visited, there were high winds. So high that the ice dam on Lake Erie was broken and HUGE chunks of ice were flowing over the falls. An amazing sight to see!

Being a New Yorker who doesn't live that far from here I have to say I love this pic of the falls. It is beautiful! I hope you got to see the Canadian side as it is much bigger and more dramatic. Either way it produces great amount of electricity!

We drove through there in May, but only stopped at the U.S. side.. I like your view better!
One day I'll finish sharing that waterfall tour we took through upstate New York.. Watkins Glen & Niagara are still on my computer waiting to be seen.

It's a very good pic. I've never been there, but when I enlarged your shot, I tried to imagine the accompanying roar.

I must say that you captured it well with your "not so good camera" :-)

George, I am so very sorry for the loss your father. My sympathies to you, Betsy and family.
You all remain in my thoughts and prayers throughout this sad time.

Hi George, that's a fantastic picture even thou with your not so good camera. But it's the skill of person behind the camera that count not the camera. :))
